The Grant House was a prominent 19th-century resort hotel built in 1868 in Jefferson Heights, Catskill, New York, overlooking Catskill Creek and Catskill Mountains.
Location: Southern edge of Jefferson Heights in Catskill, NY now where the medical buildings are (and the old Hospital)
Property: Spanned roughly 30 acres featuring walking paths, carriage drives, and a large orchard.
Activities & Amenities: Offered a private golf course, tennis courts, bowling, billiards, fishing, and evening music or dancing.
Destruction: The landmark hotel was completely destroyed by a massive fire on August 19, 1923, which safely evacuated its 300 guests
