This is a unique opportunity to obtain a rare collection of Catskill Mountains memorabilia.
The Walters Hotel, which stood on the corner of Main Street and Railroad Avenue in Cairo, NY was owned by brothers Ambroce and Francis Walters. In 1869 the brothers purchased the "Greene County Hotel" which would become the Walters Hotel. in 1885 the Catskill Mountain Railroad built the Cairo depot on land they provided behind the hotel. After a destructive fire, the hotel was rebuilt in the 1930's. The hotel operated until the late 1960's and was eventually dismantled.
